Joey Chestnut Ties Record in Victory in 2012 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest With 68 Dogs....AMERICA!!
Joey Chestnut did it again. He pounded a record tying 68 dogs in 10 minutes to win his 6th consecutive hot dog eating title and took home a 10 grand first place prize.. Second place went to Tim Janus of New York with 52 hot dogs, who
received $5,000. Third place went to Patrick Bertoletti of Chicago with
51, who won $2,500. Clearly we all know his biggest competition wasn't in the contest because Takeru Kobayashi was banned two years ago when he wouldn't sign an exclusive contract with Major League Eating. He tried to record an eating contest last year and put it online but nobody really paid much attention to it. Chestnut is the clear champion and reps AMERICA like a boss. Congrats Joey for the title and next year he can break Kobayashi's record for consecutive wins with his 7th.
