The school and player's name is unknown, and the video itself only has 400 views. But it's easily the craziest play I've seen since Jerome Simpson flipped over a defender last season. YouTube comment trolls are screaming fake, but I just see no way.

Clearly staged. His blocker dives out of the way for no reason? come on, and you can hear someone on the sideline giving him a 3 count of "go, go, GO" to time the dive. listen and watch again.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a coach is saying "Go, Go, Here we go," right before he takes off, so either yea a timing thing, or just coach speak. The blocker diving out of the way is pretty telling though.
ReplyDeleteVery stupid for a coach to let his players stage this if in fact that's what they did. The defender could have easily taken a foot to the face and the back could have landed on his head or neck.
