The Thursday Night games are getting worse by the week, with few reasons to watch other than fantasy and gambling implications. Week 11's is a straight toilet bowl featuring the Bills and the Dolphins. Sad thing is, both of these teams are fighting for their (slim) playoff lives.
Every week I'm profiling one sparsely-owned player from Thursday's game that you can (notice I'm not saying should) pick up and start. Ya know, get your Thursday night fantasy fix if you don't have a stud player going.
So without further adieu, this week's player is...
Donald Jones, WR, Buffalo Bills
Chan Gailey's offense likes to throw the ball around, and when you combine that with the fact that the Bills are perpetually trailing in games, you get a lot of garbage passing and receiving yards.
Bills receiver David Nelson is out for the year and Jones has been picking up his targets working out of the slot. He is the second most targeted bill with 51, and his per game targets are increasing week by week. He had five in Week 7, nine in Week 9, and ten last week.
He has two TDs in his last three games, and his opponent, the Dolphins, have given up four in that same span. Their pass D is especially sketchy on the road, allowing 224.3 yards and 1.75 TDs to opposing receiving corps when away from home.
With the last of the byes this week, Jones is a great plug and play option, and should reward owners with a line to the tune of 7-82-1.
